Cheryl
Blumke
has over 20 years teaching experience. She has adjudicated festivals all over
Canada and has been a guest teacher at many schools across B.C.
She was the official choreographer of the Miss BC pageant and can be seen in
many television commercials. Cheryl’s students consistently win awards at
local and provincial competitions and many of her students have gone on to dance
professionally.
Her students can been seen dancing with Tokyo Disney, Carnival Cruise Lines and
Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. Cheryl’s energetic spirit shines through in her
fun, inspiring and challenging classes
Traci Stevenson’s
dance career has taken her all over the world. She performed professionally with
National Ballet of the Czech Republic, Ballet North, Ontario Ballet Theatre and
Banff Festival Ballet.
While training at the Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver, Traci had the opportunity
to perform at the Recontres Internationales de la Danse Festival in La Baule,
France and the Beijing Dance Festival.
Traci now makes her home in Penticton, BC where she is the Artistic Director of
Okanagan Dance Studios. She is frequently invited to schools as a guest teacher
and choreographer. On several occasions Traci has taught for Haga Ballet Academy
in Japan and in 2002, her students from Okanagan Dance studios were invited to
perform the Nutcracker in Japan.
Many of Traci’s students have gone on to dance professionally. Her students
can be seen dancing with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Carnival Cruise Lines,
Ballet BC and on Broadway.

With over 25 years dance experience,
Moe
Brody
has continued to entertain many with her hip hop, jazz and tap innovations.
Prior to returning to her passion, dance, as her chosen career, Moe attended the
University of British Columbia successfully earning her degree in Human
Kinetics.
Moe’s return to dance commenced with a season as one of the NBA Grizzlies
Extreme Dance Team members. During this period, she performed at numerous live
and televised events including the official opening for Planet Hollywood with
Bruce Willis, Will Smith and Arnold Schwarzenegger. She has also choreographed
for the CFL and The University of BC dance team.
Her most recent projects have been filming “John Tucker Must Die” with Grammy
winner Ashanti and Jesse Metcalf from Desperate Housewives. Also filmed
Dr.Dolittle 3, both now in theatres.
Moe has successfully proven her innate capability to choreograph or dance, on
repeat basis, in commercials for such reputable companies as McDonalds,
Barbie/Matel, Kyocera, Coca-Cola and Disney.
Throughout her career, her winning personality and choreographic talents have
landed her many interviews on radio and TV as well as several performances for
MTV, Smallville, Crash Test Mommies and X-Weighted.
Currently Moe can be found teaching at a professional dance studio, Harbour
Dance, in downtown Vancouver. She is also on faculty with The Source, Danzemode,
DanceFusion and Groovestreet Productions. As if not busy enough, Moe is also an
established full time choreographer for season release shows for Roxy,
Quiksilver, and Westbeach. As an adjudicator at dance competitions, she derives
much satisfaction dispensing helpful advice which she hopes will inspire future
dancers. |
Okanagan
Dance
Studios
is one of British Columbia’s most highly respected dance schools. Known
for it’s professionalism and for training well-rounded, highly talented
dancers and performers in all forms of dance. Okanagan Dance Studios
prides itself on creating a positive and encouraging environment for
it’s students. The teaching faculty of Okanagan Dance Studios has been
with the studio for many, many years creating consistency and a real
sense of family within the school.
For the last 22 years, Okanagan Dance Studios has been a strong
supporter of the Penticton local Arts Community. Each year students
participate in the Penticton and Kelowna Kiwanis Music and Dance
Festivals and have won numerous awards and scholarships. Okanagan Dance
Studios is home to B.C. Festival of the Arts Provincial winners and
runners-up in Ballet, Stage Dance and Modern Dance. Studio Alumni have
gone on to train and perform all over Canada and the world including,
Ballet B.C., Tokyo Disneyland, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Carnival Cruise
Lines, Randolph Academy, Ecole Superierue De Ballet Contemprain, Toronto
Dance Theatre and Ryerson University. Okanagan Dance Studio students
have been accepted to summer schools at the National Ballet of Canada,
Royal Winnipeg Ballet, and the Banff Centre of the Arts. |
